Freedom Skatepark is Jamaica\u2019s first street skatepark, located in Bull Bay adjacent to the Bull Bay Football Club, approximately 8 miles outside of Kingston. This skatepark is free and open to the public everyday between 1PM-7PM\u2014serving the community of Kingston and skaters across the country. <\/strong><\/p>


Inspired by the untimely and tragic death of Andre \u2018Wildfiyah\u2019 Thompson, a talented 20-year-old Jamaican skateboarder, the project honors his memory and his wish for accessible skating facilities in Jamaica. Andre was murdered in 2009, just days after being featured in the mini-documentary <\/strong>JA SKATE<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/span>, produced by LargeUp, which showcased Jamaica\u2019s vibrant skateboarding scene. <\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The mission of the Freedom Skate Park Foundation is to provide a high quality, well maintained, safe space to grow the sport of skateboarding in Jamaica, while empowering our youth. The hallmark program, the Edu-Skate program, designed by Concrete Jungle Foundation, teaches youth essential life skills through skateboarding.
